That’s Just Wrong! Metta World Peace Throws Vicious Elbow To James Harden’s Head! (VIDEO)
Los Angeles Lakers power forward Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, snapped yesterday in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder when he unleashed a vicious elbow to OKC six man James Harden’s head.
STORY: Isn’t It Time We Had (Metta) World Peace?
With less than two minutes remaining in the first half on Sunday, World Peace had a fast break dunk and with all the excitement, pounded on his chest and caught Harden with a stunning blow to the back of his head, leaving him reeling in pain on the floor for at least 10 minutes.
According to ESPN, World Peace issued a statement to reporters after the game about the incident:
“During that play I just dunked on (Kevin) Durant and (Serge) Ibaka and I got really emotional and excited and it was unfortunate that James had to get hit with an unintentional elbow.
I hope he’s OK. The Thunder, they’re playing for a championship this year, so I hope that he’s OK and I apologize to the Thunder and to James Harden.”
Back in 2004, Artest was the main player that sparked the “Malice at the Palace,” a huge brawl that escalated into the stands.
