Halloween 2012 has officially been put to an end by Hurricane Sandy, as Heidi Klum even canceled her annual and somewhat traditional Halloween party.

The Project Runway host is heeding Mayor Bloomberg’s warning and jumped on Twitter to make the announcement.

She tweeted:

“Hope you & your loved ones are safe after the storm. Canceling my Halloween party…postponing to a haunted Christmas”

The message comes after she retweeted a post from New York’s Mayor saying: 

“#NYC PLEASE RT: Do not go outside. Conditions are extremely dangerous. Please stay where you are until the storm passes #Sandy” 

New York’s transit system is shut down after the hurricane ripped through the nation’s largest city. 

Unfortunately we’ll just have to wait for more Halloween fun from Heidi next year!
