It looks as though Weezer has already forgotten about James Burns, the Seattle native who was attempting to fundraise $10 million to get Weezer to stop making music. Not only did they release a new album, Hurley, just last month, but they are also preparing to release a deluxe version of Pinkerton, as well as Death to False Metal, a compilation of previously unreleased Weezer recordings, all on November 2nd.

Two new songs were posted on weezer.com’s forum yesterday, ‘Blowin’ My Stack’ and ‘Getting Up And Leaving.’ The first one will be coming off of the upcoming album, Death To False Metal, which Rivers Cuomo called a collection of ‘songs that didn’t make the first seven Weezer records because they were either too weird or too pop or too metal or too punk.’ The other track will be coming off the upcoming Pinkerton reissue.
