Out of nowhere, Rihanna drops a video for a new track, ‘Who’s That Chick‘, presumably from her new album “Loud“. It’s a very fun, poppy type record, not a bit of the darkness that we saw on her “Rated R” project. The video uses some very vivid colors and outfits as Rihanna channels more of her inner neo-disco diva that emerged on her earlier release ‘Only Girl (In The World). The video is a bit juvenile but it’s fun, and the song is okay… I’m sure it’ll grow on me. Sounds like Rihanna’s going for pop domination with Loud, after spending the last two albums mostly marketing to the urban audiences. Though I love Rihanna’s more substance-filled stuff, I must admit I like fun Rihanna also.
