You have the new DVD coming out?
It’s been getting great reviews. I love the world of twitter right now because I keep getting little updates from people in Canada and in the States about how they’re doing on the plan. Telling me their progress, this guy who is a firefighter, was saying how he lost 27 pounds in two weeks. It’s amazing and really exciting.
I’ve wanted to do this for a really long time. I’ve been teaching for years. I developed dance inspired work-outs and I would go around the country teaching them at gyms and studios. People were always asking when are you going to make the DVD and finally I had an opportunity to partner up with Sketcher shakep-ups. We came out with a DVD that is super cool.
You’re very personable on your Twitter, why do you find it necessary to do that?
I feel like I have to develop a relationship with my fans. It’s like having friends but without having to see them all the time.
Your Ex is going to be the first Ukraine Bachelor, how does that make you feel?
I think it’s funny. But good for him, it’s better to go back to your roots.
On ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ you’ve been paired with some pretty random people: Aaron Carter, The Situation, Floyd Mayweather, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mario Lopez. Did you learn anything from them?
It’s like every season you start out with a new celebrity and I feel like in some weird way you’re betraying and cheating on the celebrity before. You develop a great relationship with these people and you become friends. You get to spend 10 hours a day with each person. You see each others strong sides, vulnerable sides and you grow together as a dancing couple and as friends. It’s fun.
Floyd was very cool and very different than anyone I was use to. He actually taught me how to box a little bit. Jab. Jab. Right Hook. Uppercut. I’m a huge boxing fan. It was great to see Floyd in his own element. Plus I’m a big fan of his manager, Leonard Ellerby. He’s really cool. I would joke with him and say ‘you should be doing the show!’
You find ways to teach and grow with each other because each of them was different. That’s my favorite part of the show. Not only do we get to meet people we wouldn’t normally meet, but we get to see them in their environments for two, three, four months.
The Situation is known for his abs, could your DVD help him out?
He definitely has an impressive ab situation. He has an iPhone app that has his workout. We were actually trading work out routines with each other. He’s fun.
If you were on Jersey Shore, who would you bon
