Kendrick Lamar Kicks Off Labor Day Weekend At "Ditch Fridays"

Kendrick Lamar is all about starting off Labor Day weekend right!

The Compton-bred rapper, who has previously claimed that he’s the King of NY, was spotted performing at Ditch Fridays yesterday and he seemed to be in great spirits.

As he spit a few bars for the Las Vegas audience, Kendrick was full of energy & smiles, even though his controversial “Control” lyrics have his music peers looking at him sideways. If you missed it, Drake most recently said of Kendrick’s competitive, name-dropping lyrics:

“It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That’s all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”
