Kanye West Finished 20 Songs For His New “Timberland Boot-Like” Album (DETAILS)
Kanye West and his new album are like a pair of boots.
Yeah, we don’t know what that means, but according to G.O.O.D Music artist Malik Yusef, Kanye’s new album is “like a pair of Timberlands.”
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Malik revealed the Yeezus follow-up sounds like a multitude of things.
“This album is different. It’s like a pair of Timberlands; like how Timberlands are not quite leather and not quite suede. It’s not the smooth, slick Chicago music sound we have right now and it’s not the ruggedness of just ‘hip-hop hip-hop hip-hop.’ We’re still working like a motherfucker. We’ve been all around the world [recording].”
Malik says Kanye has completed about 20 songs for the record. Unlike the furious fights they had over Kanye’s Yeezus album, the recording process for this new album has been a lot smoother.
“We fought over Yeezus every day,” he says, laughing. “There was no friendly disagreements. It was definitely a war. It’s ‘I don’t give a fuck, Malik. It’s a Kanye album, not a Malik Yusef album.’ Kanye’s kicked me off the label eight times.”
