It’s been January forever—but fear not, February is slowly approaching and that means so is Valentine’s Day. Traditionally, V-Day is thought of as a day where men shower their girlfriends and wives with love, gifts, flowers, and chocolate, but it’s 2018 and things are changing ladies.

We signed on to social media and asked 9 men if they expected gifts for Valentine’s Day? The answer was somewhere in the middle; hit the flip.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy receive a gift for Valentine’s Day.” – Fred, 20s

“Yup.” – Ali, 30s

“Nope. That’s for the lady to get spoiled but gifts are appreciated.” – Solomon, 20s

“It would be nice.” – De’Von, 20s

“No, don’t really care for it. Would be appreciated, but it’s not a necessity.” – Justin, 20s

“No! Not for V-Day, B-Days, or X-Mas…Did I miss any? I mean it would be nice but we don’t expect it lol.” – Lamar, 40s

“I don’t ‘expect,’ but it would be nice.” – Rell, 20s

“If you’re man getting you something, you could probably take him out to eat or to see Black Panther.” – Max, 20s

“Yup.” – Rico, 20s

…Sounds like most guys would appreciate a little something, although they don’t expect it. So, this year let’s find a way to make his V-Day special too, ladies.
