Lil Wayne I am Still Music Tour

Another week of October has wrapped and once again, it was full of viral moments that popped off thanks to social media.

This was especially a good week for talented individuals whom we may know from our timelines but rarely see in the national spotlight. Dancers and singers who might have underestimated their reach were catapulted to a higher platform thanks to some big names.

Then, there were some people’s names that reached the spotlight for less than positive reasons — names that were remixed and modified to highlight how racism still operates in America.

With social media, winners and losers will always be put on blast. Check out the winners for this week below, then hit the next page to find out who went viral for taking a L.

Winners

New York dancers

Ever since Lil Wayne dropped Tha Carter V back in September, music fans couldn’t help but notice the New York flavor of one standout track “Uproar.” As soon as the record hit streaming, people started posting their #UproarChallenge videos inspired by NYC dances like The Harlem Shake and litefeet.

Weezy definitely took notice and finally dropped the music video for “Uproar.” It was full of familiar faces from the New York scene, including viral sensation Shiggy, and litefeet dancers such as KiD Pat and Jayy Wavy.

New York definitely got some NOLA shine.

Bri’Anna Harper

Everyone loves a good child prodigy and it seems like Bri’Anna Harper is on her way to being a star.

The 10-year-old first got some buzz when her mom E’boni Lomax-Harper‏ posted a video of Bri’Anna singing The Jackson 5‘s “Who’s Lovin’ You” on Twitter. The clip soon went viral with over 200,000 views. Then, give-away guru Ellen DeGeneres couldn’t help but take notice and she brought Bri’Anna and her family on her show. Not only did she have Bri’Anna sing, but she gifted the family with a new car and $10,000!

Winning.

Losers

Apartment Patty

The pale patrollers struck again this past week, unleashing their racist surveillance on another innocent Black person. The first White woman trying to stop the melanated from living their life was Hilary Brooke Mueller a.k.a.Apartment Patty.

D’Arreion Nuriyah Toles was trying to enter his apartment when Mueller was caught on video blocking his entryway because she didn’t believe he lived there. Once Toles made it inside his building, key in hand, Mueller still called the police.

Of course, the clip went viral and Apartment Patty was born. Her foul actions resulted in her losing her job and her estranged husband Brandon Mueller (who has a Black father) even recorded a video condemning her.

You’d think after all this, Hilary would be remorseful, but after the incident happened, she argued her case once again with Fox2Now.

Smh.

Losing.

Cornerstore Caroline

Apartment Patty’s long-lost cousin Teresa Klein a.k.a. Cornerstore Caroline also let her 911 fingers fly instead of hearing a Black person out…and this time, the Black person was a 9-year-old boy.

Klein wrongfully accused Jeremiah Harvey of groping her butt in a Brooklyn corner store. Klein was caught on video calling 911 after accusing Harvey, but later on, security footage revealed that it was Jeremiah’s backpack that brushed against Klein’s backside.

Klein eventually issued an apology to the kid, but the damage was already done. Jeremiah told the ABC New York station WABC, “I don’t forgive this woman, and she needs help.” He even gave a tearful testimony of the aftermath in a sitdown with ABC News.

Sigh.

That’s a big L for Caroline.
