Winners
Beyoncé’s Instagram
So once again, Beyoncé did 110% more than what was required of her when she decided her IG was going to be the most poppin’ thing online.
To begin her blessings to the world, she did this…
https://www.instagram.com/p/BtsNGl3nDcw/
Then, she so graciously allowed us into the royal grounds of a courtyard for Roc Nation’s The Brunch on Saturday.
Bey rocked a Balmain minidress, according to Harper’s Bazaar, while hubbie Jay-Z was giving her all the support in his FRÈRE 2-piece double-breasted suit.
The stars were aligned, and Bey made sure all of IG had their telescopes out.
But then, just when we’ve had enough, Beyoncé had an epiphany….
CRYSTALS.
And it was so.
Bey stepped out in a hand-beaded Swarovski Crystal two piece jacket and miniskirt designed by South Carolina native Sergio Hudson.
Beyoncé rocked Sergio’s gear for Michael B. Jordan‘s 32nd birthday bash over the weekend.

After all of this, we could finally breathe easily now that Beyoncé had confiscated our souls from IG.
But yet…
Bey still had other opportunities for us to drool.
On Thursday, she stepped out for the L.A. art exhibit DREAMWEAVERS…
And iconic things ensued.
This time, Bey wore an Ankara suit and hat for this Blackity Black Black event featuring artwork by Kehinde Wiley, Carrie Mae Weems, Kerry James Marshall and more.
It was too much.
Beyoncé even made time in the middle of the week for her BFF Kelly Rowland‘s birthday…

Once again, doing the most gets Beyoncé a W.
Losers
Steve Harvey
Just when you think the Mo’Nique vs. the World saga is about to simmer down, another intense encounter heats things up again.
This time, the heat came from problematic advice-giver Steve Harvey.
Mo’Nique went on his show and of course, Mo’Nique’s beef with Oprah, Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry, and Netflix came up.
You know the story…
“Hey my loves,” let’s boycott Netflix for gender bias and color bias…
Oprah, Lee Daniels & Tyler Perry “can suck my d*ck”…
Mo’Nique is so-called “blackballed” by Hollywood…
And so on, and so forth.
Well, Steve had some words for Mo’Nique, saying he didn’t like the way she went about the Netflix boycott, saying it was “rich people problems.”
Mo’Nique had a clapback for that:
“Inequality is devastating and it’s extreme. And when people say ‘Mo’Nique do you think calling a boycott was extreme,’ you damn right. But isn’t inequality extreme. So we’ve got to get to a place where we’re unafraid to say it out loud.”
Mo’Nique then called out Lee Daniels and others for insinuating she was “difficult” in public, yet in private they supposedly admitted she wasn’t wrong about saying “no” to certain deals.
Mo says her frustrations with these people led to her notorious stand-up comedy night where she told Oprah, Lee Daniels & Tyler Perry to suck her privates.
Believe it or not, all these points were the friendly part of the Steve Harvey interview.
Things got really intense when Steve Harvey made one big mistake…
He tried to give Mo’Nique advice:
“We Black out here,” Steve said. “We can’t come out here and do it any kind of way we want to…your husband can’t be the Sidney that he really is out here. That flexin’. We gotta flex a different way. This the money game, this ain’t the Black man’s game this ain’t the White man’s game. This the money game.”
He wasn’t finished:
“The best thing you can do for poor people is not be one of them.”
Mo’ had a clapback for that:
“We’re in the money game. But let me tell you what the game is before the money game. Before the money game, it’s called the integrity game. And we’ve lost the integrity worrying about the money.”
You can watch the heated clip for yourself below.
The irony of all this is, Mo’Nique went on Steve’s show to promote her comedy show in Las Vegas, where she’s the first Black female comic to hold a residency there.
Mo’Nique has also continued to do shows before she got her gig in Vegas.
So clearly, integrity isn’t taking the money away.
It also should be noted that even if Mo’Nique is getting “blackballed” in Hollywood, she’s stated many times in interviews that she’s willing to take that heat if it means making things better for future generations.
So Steve’s patronizing comments to Mo’Nique saying he “hates what’s happening” to her is irrelevant because MO’NIQUE ALREADY SAID SHE’S WILLING TO TAKE THE HEAT.
On top of all this, Steve’s advice of “The best thing you can do for poor people is not be one of them” SCREAMS house knee-grow!
It sounds like another reiteration of “Black people need to not complain to the white man/money man, and they just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and assimilate.”
Many people on Twitter peeped the BS and was not having it…

Some Twitter users even brought up an old clip of Tony Rock explaining why people should be wary of taking advice from Steve Harvey.

But as it goes…
If you have the mula, there will always be an audience, right?
In the integrity game though, Steve Harvey took that L.
