A Timeline Of August Alsina Getting REAL Close To Jada Pinkett Smith

Just when you think August Alsina‘s relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith is completely platonic and a beautiful representation of a mentor and her “son”….

August has to mess it all up with a more-than-friends song confession…allegedly.

Mr. Alsina is causing buzz across the Internet for the release of his song “Nunya,” which is a remix of Kehlani‘s song by the same name.

In a music video for the track, August seems to be texting someone named Koren, which so happens to be Jada Pinkett’s middle name. Through his texts and song lyrics, August sings, “Why is you textin’ me/ Asking who next to me/ Why you care about who having sex with me?/ Now u all on my line why you pressing me/ Cause I got her legs open like sesame/ What I got cooking with her ain’t your recipe!”

Uuuh…well!

The Internet couldn’t help but think that Koren was codename for Jada, and August is defending himself from a woman who’s all up in his romantic business. August even drops a GIF of Jada in the video with his line “you’re just an actress putting on a show,” further alluding to the idea that him and Jada might have some secret romantic strife going on. Jada Pinkett is currently in a “life partnership” with Will Smith and, of course, they have their two kids together, Jaden and Willow.

So this begs the question…

Is Jada having a fling with August behind their backs, or is August trolling the Internet with a faux confession….maybe to generate album buzz?

Either way, the Internet thought August was doing TOO much.

Jada and Will have yet to comment on the spicy song, so we might have to wait for the next Red Table Talk to get their thoughts.

August and Jada are spotted side-by-side at the Wireless Festival in London where Jaden and Willow Smith were performing. Their photo moments hit the Internet in the midst of divorce rumors between Will and Jada, causing folks to believe they were a couple.

However, according to a Red Table Talk in 2018, Jada revealed that the two had just met at the festival, and this was the moment August reached out to Jada for life help.

August posts a pic of himself on vacation with Jada, Willow and Willow’s boyfriend Tyler Cole. He labeled the pic, “Ma’ x Yung x Baby Sis x Ty”

Over a month before that, August hung out with Will in an Instagram post captioned, “Pop Will, The Master TeAcher! Last nights Topic: Life Lessons, Love & Being STRONG Men.”

August goes on Red Table Talk to discuss his addiction to Percocet with Jada, her mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and Jada’s sister-in-law Ashley Marie.

On the show, he describes the moment when Jada called him crying about his drug use. He said this was his breaking point to get clean. “To feel your emotion and hear you bawling, that was really a reality check for me,” he told Jada. “Cause I was like wow, if someone else can love you that much that it hurts them, why doesn’t it bother you that you’re actually hurting yourself.”

In an interview with The Shade Room, August calls Jada “a friend that everyone should have.”

He continues:

“She is one of the main reasons of my restoration in people and in humans and in women. She has played such a huge role in my life, in my recovery, in my willingness to do and be more, and better of a man and human for other people on this earth. And also, not just other people…be better and more kind to myself. She is somebody that I believe should or could or would be the greatest part of someone’s life in friendship.”

When the interviewer told August that there’s a narrative online that Jada and him might be an item, he responded with “that’s fine too.”
