Drake supplied many a clever verse for Rihanna’s hit song ‘What’s My Name.‘ The lyricist proves he’s not only a poet but also a mathematician, letting us know the square root of 69 is eight something. Brilliant lines abound; we assume Rihanna was always a muse for the man. The two make such a perfect team. But it wasn’t always that smooth between the two superstar artists.

The ‘Loud‘ singer came clean about her fling with Drake saying, ‘I definitely was attracted to Drake… We didn’t want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn’t want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.’

Bad breakups can do that to you. Drake was left puzzled by what happened between him and Rihanna, which inspired him to write ‘Fireworks,’ a song on his Grammy nominated album. So after all of the history between the two, how did Drake end up on Rihanna’s ‘What’s My Name?’

Drake gave GlobalGrind the rundown: ‘We’re cool ya know. She really just came to me and said, ‘I’ve got a song, tell me what you think. I heard it right away and it was infectious and I needed to be on the record and I got really excited. We really didn’t talk about ‘Fireworks’ or anything like that. She was more like, I’m doing my album and I need you on this record. We’re very easygoing, logical, calm individuals and if we have anything to talk about, which we never do, it’s always all love, it never has to be ironed out. It’s not like, look before we work on this song we gotta iron stuff out. It’s never like that. It’s all love.’
