Daft Punk’s Tron Legacy & 9 Other Great Movie Soundtracks

As everyone should know by now, French house legends Daft Punk were chosen to soundtrack the upcoming Tron sequel, Tron Legacy (in theaters December 17). The soundtrack, which was released today, has garnered excellent reviews. When you really think about it, Daft Punk is a perfect choice—their futuristic robot schtick fits well with the Tron universe, as does their forward-thinking electro tunes. There have a been a lot of excellent movie soundtracks done entirely by popular artists, so here is a look at 9 other great ones.

Sofia Coppola enlisted french electronica duo Air to soundtrack her first movie, The Virgin Suicides.
