Claressa Shields Comes Home For 'The Fire Inside' Screening

The star and director of the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film The Fire Inside traveled to the city where the story was born — Flint, MI — for a very special screening where they were joined by the very people who lived the experience. Star Ryan Destiny, director Rachel Morrison, and the real life subjects of the film, Claressa Shields and coach Jason Crutchfield, attended a special Flint, MI community screening of THE FIRE INSIDE on Sunday, November 10 THE FIRE INSIDE is the inspirational true story of Claressa Shields, arguably the greatest female boxer of all time. Claressa, a high school Junior from Flint, Michigan, aided by her tough-love coach, Jason Crutchfield, pushes past all limitations to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing. But even at the pinnacle of success, Claressa has to reckon with the fact that not all dreams are created equal, and the real fight has only just begun.
